  • What is Nulids?

    NuLids is a safe and effective, FDA registered eyelid hygiene device. NuLids was designed by an Ophthalmologist and is proven effective for relief of dry, red, sore, itchy, and swollen eyes. Using NuLids only takes one minute, and it only needs to be used once per day. NuLids is designed to be easy to use at home. So easy you can do it with your eyes closed! The NuLids device is compact and cordless so that you can take it just about anywhere.

    NuLids is available online at www.nulids.com and from a growing number of eye care practices. The NuLids Starter Kit includes one NuLids device, one NuLids Revitalize Eyelid gel, a 30-day supply of NuLids Daily Disposable tips, and a charger and charger cable.

  • How does the NuLids System work?

    The NuLids System cleans the meibomian glands located in the eyelids. These glands are responsible for producing the lipid layer of the eye’s tear film. In studies, lipid deficiency is seen as the leading cause of Dry Eye Disease (in 86% of all cases!). It has been shown that proper care and maintenance of the eyelids results in an improvement of the discomforts caused by Dry Eye Disease, Blepharitis, Demodex, and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction. When not taken care of, these conditions are often chronic and worsen over time. NuLids is proven to be safe and effective for removal of biofilm and scurf that block the meibomian glands. Also, the gentle massaging action of NuLids contributes to overall better eyelid health and may also stimulate blood flow around the eyelids.

    Yes, using NuLids every day is recommended for experiencing the quickest and most stable relief. It keeps your eyes healthy so you can lower or eliminate the need for other things like eye drops and lid scrubs.

  • Is it OK to use NuLids more than once a day?

    Yes, but discontinue more frequent uses if any discomfort occurs.

  • When is the best time to use NuLids?

    You can use your NuLids System at any time morning, afternoon, or evening. You may find it beneficial to use your NuLids at the same time each day so it becomes an easy part of your daily routine.

  • Where can I use Nulids?

    Anywhere you have access to a mirror! Typically it’s best to make NuLids part of your morning or evening bathroom routine. For people who suffer from dry eyes during travel you can bring NuLids with you, and it takes up about the same space as an electric toothbrush.

  • How is NuLids powered?

    The NuLids device is rechargeable and does not need to be plugged in during use. Simple charge the device using the charging cable provided in your NuLids Starter Kit. Once charged, the NuLids device should last for several uses.

  • Does using NuLids reduce my need for eye drops and other forms of products for dry eyes?

    Yes, using NuLids typically reduces the need for other products and lowers your overall monthly out of pocket expenses. Most NuLids users report a substantial reduction in the need (and frequency of use) for artificial tears, lid scrub products, and expensive dry eye prescription medication.

  • How often should I change out the NuLids Soft Tip?

    Daily, do not reuse any NuLids Soft Tips. Reusing any NuLids Soft Tips will greatly increase your risk of developing a serious eye infection. Bacteria, viruses, and fungi that are common on your eye lids are immediately cleaned up by the NuLids Soft Tip during use. Unlike your eyelids, the NuLids Tip has no anti-infective properties so any bacteria, viruses, and fungi that are transferred to the NuLids Tip multiply at an accelerated rate compared to those that remain on your eyelids. Reusing the tip puts bacteria, viruses, and fungi onto your eyelids. Gross!

  • Does NuLids replace doctor prescribed dry eye treatments?

    NuLids can be an important part of your plan for restoring dry eyes. Always consult your eye doctor before making changes to any treatment plans you have been given.

  • Is it OK to share a NuLids Soft Tip?

    Never share your NuLids Tip with another person. If shared, bacteria from one person will be easily transferred to the other person and can very easily lead to a serious eye infection.

  • What is the NuLids Revitalize Eyelid Gel?

    The NuLids gel is an eyelid gel that can be put on the outside of your eyelids. It contains the natural ingredients argan oil, pomegranate extract, jojoba esters, and Norway spruce sap. We suggest using it either on its own or with your Nulids device.

  • Do I need to use the NuLids Revitalize Eyelid Gel with my NuLids Device?

    We suggest using a lubricant like an eye gel to further improve the results you can get with the NuLids device. You do not need to use the NuLids Revitalize Eyelid Gel, but we designed it to be a perfect pairing with the NuLids device so we include one with the NuLids Starter Kit.

  • Does NuLids hurt?

    The most important things we considered when designing NuLids is that it needs to be SAFE, COMFORTABLE, and EFFECTIVE. In fact, NuLids is designed by an eye doctor who specializes in safe eye procedures. You should not experience pain when using NuLids and you should consult a doctor if you have concerns.

  • I wear eye makeup. Will the NuLids System help me?

    Yes. The daily use of the NuLids system will help remove any remaining eye mascara around your eyelids. However, it is best to first remove mascara before using NuLids.

  • I wear contact lenses. Can I safely use the NuLids System on my eyelids?

    Contact lens wearers are much more likely to suffer from dry eyes than non-contact lens wearers. NuLids is gentle, so you can even use NuLids while wearing your contact lenses.

  • Can I reuse my NuLids Soft Tips?

    No, NuLids Soft Tips cannot be reused. Reusing tips can cause serious eye infections and can damage the NuLids device, which will void the warranty.

  • Can I boil my soft tips and reuse them? That’s what I do with other things around my house.

    Your eyes are very sensitive. Boiling or attempting to clean the NuLids Soft Tips does not sterilize it and will cause harmful bacteria to grow on the tips. It not only causes a risk of eye infection, but other eye injuries as well. Reusing tips will also damage the NuLids device and void your warranty.

  • Can I recycle my NuLids Soft Tips? Throwing away the tip every treatment seems wasteful.

    Yes, you can recycle the tips! All materials used to make the NuLids Soft Tip are recyclable, and we encourage you to recycle them.

    Absolutely! Please call or email us if you have any questions or if there is a problem with your device. We certify each NuLids device to be free from any manufacturing defects. If there is something wrong with your device, which is due to defects in materials or workmanship, we will replace your device at no charge within 1 year of purchase.   • Can I return my NuLids Starter Kit?

    We gladly accept returns. Ship your complete NuLids Starter Kit to us within 30 days of delivery, and we will issue you a full refund. Please call us at (833) 368-5437 before sending your return to make the process faster. IMPORTANT! Please include a copy of your order confirmation within your return package.

  • How long can I store the NuLids Revitalize Eyelid Gel?

    Use common sense when using your NuLids. NuLids should not be used in the presence of ocular herpes, open wounds, skin disorders such as seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, raised moles, warts or infection of the eyelids or the eye. If you are unsure about your skin condition, we recommend speaking with your doctor before using the NuLids.

  • Can I use NuLids while traveling and not at home?

    Yes. NuLids is compact and portable and, when fully charged, should for several uses.
